Introduction:
The plant was inaugurated in 2004 to specifically cover the needs of the armed forces in military garments and accessories of the military uniform.


Sur Garment Plant is a partnership between the Ministry of National Defence that owns 10% of the plant's shares, Saria Industrial Complex that owns 30% of the shares and the Turkish partners who own 60% of the plant.

Products:
- The plant caters for clients by responding to their needs in terms of the required specifications and manufacturing of samples.


- Taking the specifications accurately.


- Requiring the client to approve a sample before start of production.

- The plant employs skilled workers and first rate tailors


- The plant seeks the assistance of specialized foreign expertise in the fields of tailoring and embroidery


- The plant has adopted a planning system that guarantees uniformity in the shape of products and reduces rate of mistakes to zero


- The plant applies the mechanistic cutting system and thus bypasses the cutting stage which is the most serious stage in the garment industry.

Production Capacity::
The plant has a capacity of 1,300 garments a day by using modern technology and automated design capacity.

The plant was praised by all the officials who visited it where it was visited by the High Command of Police, the Minister of Industry, the African Union's Advisor for Textile Affairs and some vice chancellors of universities.

- Adoption of the three-shift system to step up production capacity of the plant


- Expanding the special section to be able to cover the local market.
